The design brief requested for: “a striking (iconic), modern yet timeless building; adequate car parking; provision of space to be complemented by commercial spaces; well landscaped grounds…”

The proposal was for a head office with residual leasable space, car parking commensurate with an ‘A grade’ office accommodation, apply standards that are higher than those legislated for, provide upscale apartments that are secure and private; orient and shape the building to the energy efficient (sustainable design); juxtapose cost, land value and & good urban design to get optimal form /size; consciously reconcile the building with its users – provide a user friendly facility – open plan, rich landscape, organic spaces; stands powerfully and confidently within its grounds without being visually sympathetic to its environment.
