Established Femi Majekodunmi Associates (now known as FMA Architects Ltd) in 1973. He later established other architectural practices in Botswana (1 989), and in The Republic of South Africa (1994). He is a Fellow & a past president of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA). He is also a past president of the International Union of Architects (IUA).
